De vijf mannen van de jonge band Minuit Guibolles uit Orleans nemen traditionele Franse dansmuziek als uitgangspunt en voegen daar o.a. wat jazz, etnische percussie,steeldrums en soundbytes aan toe. Het resultaat is dansbare maar wel knettergekke 'bal folk' muziek vol verrassingen; zo kan een lief Frans wijsje zo maar ontaarden in een wild Afrikaans avontuur en kom je in een typisch Franse bourree zowel George Clooney als het gekloonde schaap Dolly tegen ! Minuit Guibolles geeft twee concerten, vandaag en morgen, en bij beide concerten is er uiteraard gelegenheid tot dansen. French folk-derived dance music is the starting point of the music made by the 5 members of the exciting Minuit Guibolles, hailing from Orleans. Very much leaders of a new movement in France, they add in jazz influences, steel drums, 'ethnic' percussion and all manner of wild sound-bytes.The result is crazy, dance-able 'bal folk' full of innovation and surprises. Not only the sound of sweet France,but also African adventure and with references up to and including George Clooney as Dolly the cloned sheep !
